This talk will cover what we should all know about our gardens, homes, and wildfire preparedness

with APA Member

The talk will cover all aspects of wildfire preparedness including:

-Vegetation management
-Defensible space
-Making your home fire resistant to ignition

Katherine is the founder of the Marin Master Gardeners Pruning Guild, inspired by her experience in the Merritt LH Aesthetic Pruning program. The Guild is now starting its tenth year.  She has been working professionally as an Aesthetic Pruner for five years. 

Katherine also created and taught the "Fire in Marin" class for ten years, in conjunction with local fire agencies.  Over 1,300 Marin residents attended the class.

In her Firescaping talk, Katherine will discuss ‘defensible space’ and ‘home hardening’ two principles and practices we can share with our clients.
