APA Certified Aesthetic Pruner®: The APA Certified Aesthetic Pruners® (CAPs) have proven they meet or exceed the qualifications required by the APA Certified Aesthetic Pruner exam. These requirements include professional experience, an extensive portfolio of work, and passing a three part exam that includes verbal, written and hands-on pruning skills demonstrating the pruners' knowledge in horticulture, arboriculture, design and art principles. The APA provides the only available certification of Aesthetic Pruners.

Associate:  APA Associate members are industry professionals who are developing their aesthetic pruning qualifications before applying for the CAP exam.

Affiliate: Affiliate members are aesthetic pruning enthusiasts who are committed to supporting and developing the field of aesthetic pruning.

Student: Student members are individuals who are currently enrolled at a recognized institution of higher learning for a minimum of 6 credits.
